13-year-old Christian girl forcibly married in Pakistan, non-bailable warrant issued against Maulvi

In Pakistan, there are frequent reviews of incidents of kidnapping women of minority communities and forcible conversion. Meanwhile, a Pakistani court docket has issued a non-bailable warrant against a cleric accused of forcibly changing a minor Christian girl to Islam.


The minor girl has filed a case against Qazi Mufti Ahmed Jan Rahim in addition to her husband and 4 different kin on October 16 in reference to the compelled conversion. The cleric is absconding because the case was filed on behalf of the minor girl.

Maulvi is accused in one other case

This cleric can be accused in one other case for conversion and forcing the wedding of one other girl. Therefore, a Justice of the Peace court docket in Karachi has issued a non-bailable warrant against this cleric. The Christian girl who lodged the case alleged that she was kidnapped and compelled into Islam. He was forcibly given to a person named Muhammad Imran.
