Republic Day: Delhi Police alerts on security, many routes will remain closed

The Republic Day parade will start on January 26 at 9.50 am. The parade associated occasions will start at 9 am at India Gate. Adequate preparations have been made to make sure that there isn’t any obstruction within the parade. The security cycle is split into 4 components. The parade will attain the Red Fort Ground through Vijay Chowk, Rajpath, India Gate, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, Red Fort Chowk. Four metro stations will remain closed throughout this era.

Delhi Police’s Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) NS Bundela mentioned that Delhi’s borders can be sealed from the evening of 25 January. Rajpath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate will be closed for widespread autos at 6 pm on 25 January. This ban will proceed until the tip of Republic Day celebrations on 26 January. Cross visitors will cease at Rajpath from 11 pm on 25 January and will remain closed until the parade ends on 26 January. India Gate will be closed at 2 pm on 25 and 26 January. Traffic will cease on Tilak Marg from 10 am on January 26.

How to achieve New Delhi railway station
People coming from South Delhi, Mother Teresa Crescent, Ram Manohar Lohia Golchakar, Baba Kharag Singh Marg, Outer Circle of Connaught Place, Chelmsford Road. From Paharganj aspect and Minto street aspect one can go to Bhavabhuti street to Ajmeri gate. From North Delhi, individuals can take a left flip from Jhandewala Golchakkar, Rani Jhansi Road, Deshbandhu Gupta Road, Sheela Cinema Road, from right here, take a left flip down Paharganj Bridge and go to New Delhi Railway Station. Those coming from East Delhi can undergo Boulevard Marg, ISBT Bridge to Rani Jhansi Road, Jhandewalan, DB Gupta Road, Sheela Cinema Road and Paharganj Bridge.

From South Delhi, one can undergo Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan Road, Rajghat, Mayuna Bazar, Left with SP Mukherjee Marg, Umbrella Rail, Kodia Bridge. From North Delhi could be Boulevard Road, Mori Gate Golchakar, Mori Gate Market, Pul Dufferin, Left to SP Mukherjee Marg.
