UPSC will now recruit Indian Railways @ http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/

To get a job in Indian Railways, applicants will now have to take the pre exam in UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav has told that all the new recruits in Railways are UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Chairman of Railway Board Yadav said, "All the new recruitments that will be made in the railway will be done through five specializations through UPSC. These include four engineering under technical and one non-technical. Accounts, personal and traffic sector appointments will be made in non-technical.

According to officials, the first batch will be recruited in 2021 while the new 5-member board with merged officers will come into existence next year i.e. 2020. Let us tell you here that the Chairman of the Railway Board will also be the new Chief Executive Officer of the Railways.
